Naples is a city to see at least once in a lifetime. It has a truly unparalleled artistic, historical, cultural and culinary richness. The Amalfi coast is a gem located on the Tyrrhenian coast south of Naples, characterized by towns of great architectural value.

1. Promenade It is a route that extends for 3 km and connects via Nazario Sauro to Mergellina, from where ferries depart for the islets. It is considered one of the most beautiful promenades in the world! Absolutely not to be missed is a visit to Castel Dell'Ovo, from which you can also enjoy a wonderful visit to Vesuvius.

2. Piazza del Plebiscito Located in the heart of the historic center, it is one of the symbols of Naples.

Note of merit for the Royal Palace, seat of the National Library.

3. Piazza del Gesù Nuovo In the middle of the square is the Obelisk of the Immaculate Conception, built in the 1700s.

4. Spaccanapoli It is the road that goes from the Quartieri Spagnoli to the Forcella district, cutting the city in a straight line. This place tells the true essence of Naples. Along the way you will find beautiful churches and artists and artisans who sell everything.

5. Castel Nuovo It is one of the symbols of the city and has medieval and Renaissance origins.

6. Amalfi Coast

How to reach it from Naples: the easiest way is to rent a motorbike or a car. For Sorrento it is possible to take the train to the station of the same name. To Amalfi you have to take a train that goes from the central station of Naples to that of Salerno and, from there, take a ferry or a bus.

Where to park: the car parks are not free. There is a "first come, stay better" rule!

Where to sleep: there are many offers on Airbnb and Booking.com! I recommend booking it well in advance, especially in high season, as the prices are not low at all.

What to see: Amalfi -> is a citadel built under the steep cliffs of the south-western coast of Italy. It is truly a gem not to be missed.

Positano -> It is the main holiday spot characterized by colorful houses overlooking the sea

Where to eat in Naples: Antica Pizza Fritta Da Zia Esterina Sorbillo: necessary stop to taste the fried pizza. I recommend not to go there during peak times. The pizza is cheap and a real pleasure. There are, however, no seats. It is located in via dei Tribunali 53.

Pizzeria Concettina Ai Tre Santi: I recommend, even here, to avoid rush hours so as not to have to wait two hours for a table, as happened to me. Very good and cheap pizza. It is located in via Arena della Sanità 7.

Antico Forno F.lli Attanasio: Oven famous for home made sfogliatelle, a typical Neapolitan sweet. You can eat them with cream or nutella. It is located in via Ferrovia.
